Email Communications Terms

1. Purpose

Service email carries the product: signature requests to your borrowers, reminders, packet status changes, countersignature notices, certificate delivery, verification decisions, account notices and security alerts. These are transactional and are not promotional.

Marketing email carries product letters, release notes and occasional offers. It is sent only to people who opted in, either by checking the optional box at signup or by opting in afterwards.

2. How you opted in

Consent is collected through an unchecked checkbox at signup which sits beside the required agreement to the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. No box on this site is pre-checked, and marketing consent is never a condition of opening an account, sending a packet, or signing one.

3. Frequency

Marketing email is limited to no more than two messages per calendar month. Service email is sent as events occur and cannot be turned off while your account is open, because it is the mechanism of the product.

4. Costs

BorrowDocs does not charge for email. Your internet or mobile provider may charge for data used to receive it. Message and data rates may apply.

5. Unsubscribe

You can stop marketing email in any of these ways:

• click the unsubscribe link in the footer of any marketing email;
• use the one-click unsubscribe control your mail client shows at the top of the message, which we support under RFC 8058;
• open the unsubscribe page and enter your address;
• email help@borrowdocs.com with the word UNSUBSCRIBE.

Opt-outs are applied immediately and in every case within ten business days. Unsubscribing from marketing does not close your account and does not stop service email.

7. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and the owner or an authorised user of the address you give us.
